‘Lateef’ director Israar Ahmed states he has been trying to get in touch with the actor, but in vain. “We are told he is busy. We hope he can take time out to promote the film as he plays the title role.”

The director adds, “At that time too, Nawazuddin charmed everyone with his histrionics. He was a one-take actor. His character in the film, which was earlier titled Reality: The Fact, is that of an aspiring doctor who falls prey to the drug mafia.”

Nawazuddin, who is presently shooting in Kashmir for the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, chose not to comment on the issue.
