Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik Roshan has finally kick-started. The shooting of the film began yesterday in Bhuj.
Talking about the film, Ashutosh’s wife Sunita Gowariker said, “It’s been in pre-production for a while now. So when we took the first shot, everyone on the sets got emotional, including Ashu.”
The film was postponed due to Hrithik’s injury, “But he’s recovered completely now and is looking stunning. We couldn’t start with action as Hrithik needs to familiarise himself with the character. We want him to spend a week with the character, doing dramatic sequences before we go all out with the action,” Sunita said.
The superstar was so happy with the shot that he didn’t even see the monitor. “It’s great when an actor shows so much faith in a filmmaker. Hrithik is a phenomenal actor and we’re glad the film is finally off to a great start,” she said.
The film will be based on a love story set during the Indus Valley civilisation. Southern actress Pooja Hegde will play the female lead and actor Kabir Bedi will be seen as the villain in Mohenjo Daro.
