Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s film MSG: The Messenger of God finally got the Censor board clearance. MSG: The Messenger of God, film to finally release on 13th – February. The film is expected to release in 4,000 screens.
Aditya Insaan, spokesperson for ‘MSG’ said, “We have been told go ahead and announce the release date which we have done. We have been told the Censor Certificate will be issued to us before the release date.”
The producers were promised a Censor Certificate after they re-submitted the film with the necessary changes asked by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal. The Tribunal cleared the film on January 15 with U certificate after insertions of two disclaimers and two dialogue mutes. The producers re-submitted the film’s CD on January 21 but the CBFC refused certification as proper changes were not made.
The film was once again submitted last Friday with the necessary changes after which CBFC asked the producers to announce the release date. A source said, “The CC may be issued to them after the Delhi elections.”
